Meet Julia, the original "singing angel", who gives love and joy to everyone she meets. Julia was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome, Type A, in October of 2000, just before her third birthday. Julia has two sisters, Emma and Olivia, and loves Barney the Dinosaur!

Above all else, Julia loves to sing. Although her disease has robbed her of words, she still has rhythm and melody, and the music she makes is pure joy. Sadly, Julia's parents were told that, as her disease progressed, Julia would experience gradual mental retardation, lose the ability to walk, eat, even sing, and lose her life at age 10-15 years.

Julia meets every challenge with courage and determination. The light inside her inspires us all, and she will not fight this battle alone. Her parents pray that they may be with her every step of the way, in faith, hope, and love.
